Director

Mahyar Alinejad is a globally experienced HR leader with over 20 years of experience in private and not-for-profit companies across diverse sectors, including energy, consumer electronics, health and medical devices, telecommunications, and manufacturing.  Mahyar is currently overseeing the Employment Related Services and Programs at CCIS, the largest immigrant-serving organization in the Prairies. She is known for her commitment to continuous improvement and innovation and acts as a change manager and agile leader with cross functional business prospect.


Mahyar began her career as an electronics engineer in Iran, later progressing to lead customer satisfaction, after-sales services, field test engineering, and call center functions. She received recognition and an internal job rotation offer from LG Electronics to lead the subsidiary HR function. Embracing the challenge, she left her well-established comfort zone to navigate the HR world.

Mahyar has served as the Middle East and Africa regional HR leader for the Straumann Group, Head of HR for LG Electronics Iran, and Customer Support function leader for LG Electronics.


Mahyar has been serving on the CPHR Alberta Board of Directors since May 2024, and prior to that, she volunteered as a senior path evaluator since 2023. She also has international volunteering experience with Global Talent Management Institute. Mahyar holds a Master of Science degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering from Amir Kabir (Tehran Polytechnic) University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field. She is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

Seeking CPHRs and Public Board Members 


The CPHR Alberta Board of Directors is looking for directors who are willing to share their time, talent, and expertise and be actively involved in shaping the future and long-term success of CPHR Alberta. We are seeking two (2) Chartered Members of CPHR Alberta that have, or are willing to make, connections in the community that will assist the Board's linkage to stakeholders, and up to two (2) public members with specific expertise.
